Newcastle has some beautiful coastline so let’s get out and appreciate it!
Please join us for a relaxed walk from Redhead to Merewether along the coast.
Expect to see magnificent views, feel sand between your toes and make new friends on the trail.
When: Sunday 8 March from 8:30am
Walk: Redhead to Merewether
Distance: 11kms
Elevation: approximately 270m
Cost: free
What To Bring: minimum 750ml of water per person, snacks for morning tea, lunch to eat on Merewether Beach or cash/card to buy lunch, swimmers and a towel if you want to take a dip, sunscreen and insect repellent
What To Wear: fully enclosed shoes such as walking boots or joggers/sneakers, sun-safe clothing and a hat – please check the weather forecast to see if you’d like to add a raincoat
Important Info: we will need to do a car shuffle, leaving a car or two at the end of the walk so we can drive back to the start.
